Bunker Hill in Winter

Hiked:

Hiking Bunker Hill Natural Area with a light coating of snow on the ground.

There was a little snow on the ground so we decided to check out Bunker Hill for the first time.

The main feature is a 30 foot high cliff near the Ten Mile Run, which is in the middle of the trail system. We started from Bunker Hill road but there is also a small lot off of South Middlebush Road on the other end.

The stream crossing can be tricky when it’s running high… and since we did not plan ahead with the proper footwear (duh) and it was freezing out – we just turned around.

The RED trail connects to Griggstown Native Grasslands through a neighborhood… but we turned around.
